Drawing to the original being 1.20m high. I originally drew diagonals as if to create flames, then texture was added little by little. The eye came suddenly, then I had the idea to add an extract from Baudelaire’s poem Sympathetic Horror, this is a contemporary Japanese translation in Baudelaire.

This one tooks me weeks to do as there is several layers underneath what you see now.
